Setting up your brand
Enter your website URL — AI will analyze it and prepare everything for monitoring in a couple of minutes.
- AI scans your website and automatically detects the brand name, description, and business context
- Review the data — make sure the brand name matches how users actually mention it
- Choose up to 3 prompts for a trial run from AI-generated suggestions or add your own
- Prompts will be tested in ChatGPT, Gemini, and Yandex — first results appear within minutes
Make sure the brand name is exactly right — AI searches use it verbatim. A typo or abbreviation can skew your results.
First run & results
After setup, monitoring starts automatically. Within minutes your Dashboard will show the first metrics and an onboarding report will be generated.
- GEO Scout sends prompts to AI providers for the first trial run
- Each response is analyzed for brand mentions, competitors, and sentiment
- Cited sources are extracted and tracked automatically
- Onboarding report is generated automatically — available in the Reports tab
Metrics update daily. Compare periods to track your progress over time.
Setting up notifications
Connect the Telegram bot to receive weekly reports with metric dynamics directly in the messenger.
- Go to Settings → Notifications, click "Open Telegram bot" and send the /start command
- Enter the connection code from the settings page — the bot will link to your account
- Once connected, you will receive weekly reports with SoV dynamics, mentions, and GEO Score for the week
Brand name variations & domains
If your brand has alternative spellings or additional domains, go to Settings → Brand and add them. This improves mention detection and citation tracking in future monitoring runs.
- Add transliterations (e.g. Latin and Cyrillic spellings)
- Include common abbreviations and misspellings
- Add additional domains — if your brand has multiple websites, all of them will be counted for citation tracking
- Each variation and domain is checked in every AI response — no mention is missed
Connecting AI traffic tracking
GEO Scout can track real visits to your website from AI responses. This is a supplementary metric — most AI responses don't include links to websites, so AI traffic is not the primary visibility indicator, but it's useful for understanding which platforms bring real visitors.
- Go to AI Traffic in the sidebar and enable tracking — the system will generate a unique token for your website
- Copy the JavaScript snippet and install it on your website — just one line of code anywhere on the page
- Tracking detects visits from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, and other AI platforms (12 sources total)
- In the dashboard you'll see: visits, unique visitors, top source, growth trends, and correlation between mentions and actual traffic
AI traffic is a supplementary signal, not the primary metric. The main performance indicators are Share of Voice and mention frequency. But when an AI platform cites your domain with a link, tracking shows how many people clicked through.
